What this wiki is

This wiki is the central documentation source for zoompilot, a Mazda-optimized fork of sunnypilot. It is maintained as markdown in the open and deployed from the wiki repository.

Standing on the shoulders of

zoompilot stands on sunnypilot, which stands on openpilot by comma.ai. Nearly everything here rides on their work.

  • openpilot — the open source driver assistance system by comma.ai.
  • sunnypilot — the fork zoompilot builds on, by sunnyhaibin and the sunnypilot community. Their documentation (MIT) provided the structure and some adapted content for this wiki.

zoompilot contributors

  • Alex Frutkin (@yummydirt) — reverse engineering and implementation of Mazda alpha longitudinal.
  • @mzdnick — VIN and EPS fingerprinting, zoompilot UI branding, cruise fixes.
  • The zoompilot Discord community — logs, routes, testing, and patience.

  • This wiki adapts structure and some content from sunnypilot/user-docs, which is MIT licensed. Adapted pages credit the source above.
  • The openpilot safety and limitations text on the safety page comes from the openpilot project (MIT).
